Welcome to Cordyceps Fungi! Whether you are here to forage, cultivate, photograph, or just chat, we are glad to have you.

The single most important rule: NEVER eat a wild mushroom based on an identification from the internet. Not from this forum, not from an app, not from anywhere. Use ID help to learn, then verify with an expert and a good regional field guide before anything touches your plate.

Be kind, cite your sources, keep your foraging spots vague, and post lots of photos. Happy hunting.

Pinning the science flag here too: "looks like" is not an ID. Spore prints, habitat, substrate, and micro features matter. When in doubt, throw it out.

Just joined and read the whole thing. Excited and appropriately terrified. Thanks!
